Saturday 7th March, 2009 - Fun Night

On Saturday Evening, 7th March, TOSCA invited all and sundry to pay a quick visit to the Old School House where they could partake of tea/coffee and some rather delicious cakes whilst reviewing a wall mounted display of information about the building and some Victorian exhibits brought along by Sue Fraser from the National Trust Museum of Childhood, Sudbury Hall.

Amongst others, Bill Crossley had set up a display of photographs from the era, and visitors were invited to "spot" the subjects of the photos.

The evening was well attended and we were visited by our Parish Council Chairman, Maria Guest, our County Councillor, Bob Fraser, and our prospective Conservative MP, Andrew Griffiths.

In the schoolroom, here we can see our chairman (Joanna Woodberry) and our secretary (Jane Taylor) as schoolmistresses, flanking David Kennedy as the schoolmaster.

Younger visitors (and those young at heart!) were invited to try their hand at Victorian handwriting exercises as well as a variety of games and competitions.

And here we can see Bob Fraser and Andrew Griffiths chatting with the "staff"
